Currently, I am working on a dark Christmas story. Although I have a very fertile imagination, I wasn’t sure my mind could run in this direction. Typically, my writings have been for the purpose of informing, and recollections of past events that send a positive message. Writing horror, especially applied to such a fun holiday, is something I really wasn’t sure I could do. But, I thought I’d give it a go.

With a preconceived plot in mind, I began composing my story two days ago. It was rough going at first, thinking in this genre, but now that I’m at the half-way point, I must admit, I am having fun! My mind has discovered a new avenue within its imagination – horror. Unfortunately, my dreams have also gone down that dark path.
A few nights ago, I woke up from a dream wherein two voodoo women, painted with white markings, were talking to me. Actually, I believe they were putting a curse upon me. One of the women held strange metallic coins, and gave them to me, but, the coins disappeared. When I awoke, I wondered from where in the hell did this dream come? My dark Christmas story does not have voodoo women in it, nor is there a curse with which to contend.
Hmm, maybe it’s a plot for an upcoming story? We shall see.
“I have a horror of the blank page. I simply cannot write on a blank page or screen. Because once I do, I start to fix it, and I never get past the first sentence.”
